The Colli&Rubini Duo was founded in 2010 by Martina Colli and Rossella Rubini, after a friendship that started when the two pianists were just kids. Both born in Teramo (Italy), they started their collaboration mixing together their different experiences, particularly broadened in jazz music and composition by Martina and chamber music and musicology by Rossella. Together, they decided to make their passionate commitment to music, including in their repertoire the classics as well as the newest composers.
Their first CD, published in 2012 by Tactus (Italy), is the first recording in the world of the piano pieces by Gino Marinuzzi Jr. In the same year, a second CD was released in London, The Voyage, then selected for the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles (USA).
Martina and Rossella, whilst carrying on their own personal careers, travel a lot to perform across Europe and abroad.
Rossella is Head of Piano at the Headington School, Oxford.
